Advanced Services Engineer
Part of the operations engineering team responsible for:
• Incident management, on-call, documentation, service desk
tickets and customer upgrades and migrations
• Part of a global follow-the-sun cross-collaborative team
responsible for over $40m ARR of Private Cloud customers.
Covering the full life cycle from custom build-out to scaling,
white glove support, engineering, new feature deployment and
decommission. Adhering to strict on-call SLA's to maintain five
9's of uptime for our customers
•Delivering bespoke, white-glove engineering support to a
legacy platform at Auth0, whilst customers were being
upgraded or migrating to a newer platform
•Working with high profile customers to deliver front and back
end migrations of the Auth0 platform, using a API endpoints
and database data to ensure sub-second downtime during the
cutover period
Additional responsibilities include:
• Process automation - Taking the initiative on
automation, building resources and runbooks to take
some complex or tedious tasks and automating them
into a one click solution
• Documentation - Creating and improving existing
documentation to build high quality knowledge
resources
• Metrics and logging - Observing metrics and logs to
provide opportunities for automation
• Incidents - Identifying and correcting anomalies to
improve customer UX and internal strategy

Infrastructure Engineer
Day-to-day responsibilities included
• Designing, building, managing and supporting infrastructure
services, both on-premise and in the cloud
• Keeping a careful balance of business as usual ticket flow and
proactive project work with a mindset of positive proactivity will
reduce the need for reactivity
• Spear-heading the movement of the primary on-premise
datacentre to another location within the UK, with a cloud first
approach to moving service into the Azure VMWare Solution
where possible
